2013 COSIM conference May 6–8 to be held in Phoenix—with keynote speaker Alex Araujo on opening night

COSIM—Coalition On the Support of Indigenous Ministries—is pleased to announce the convening of the 18th annual conference to be held May 6–8, 2013. The location is Holiday Inn & Suites Phoenix Airport, Phoenix, Arizona.

The conference theme is “LISTEN: Deepening the Conversation in Cross-Cultural Partnership.” The theme verse is Matthew 11:15—“He that has ears to hear, let him hear.” Participants will explore together the hard work and vital role of LISTENING—as members of the global Church collaborating to bless the peoples of the earth.

Alex Araujo will be the keynote speaker on the opening night. His presentation will be: “Exploring a Common Language for ‘Sailing’ 
in Our Cross-Cultural Partnerships. Born and raised in Brazil, Alex has served as missionary the IFES in Portugal and with COMIBAM in Brazil, then with Partners International and Interdev. He is a founding member of International Partnering Associates (IPA) and associate of the Department of Strategic Partnerships of COMIBAM. He currently serves United World Mission as Senior Advisor to the President, and contributes to the Global Partnering working group of the WEA Missions Commission.
