The 2010 COSIM Conference will return to The Lindner Center in Lombard, Illinois, because we feel there are many in the Chicago area who will want to take advantage of this year's workshops and plenary sessions. This does not mean, however, that we are locked into the Chicago area for future conferences. We greatly appreciated the services of The Prince Center at Calvin College in Grand Rapids and look favorably upon a possible return there. We also are exploring the option of other venues and welcome your suggestions for future meeting venues.

Exciting Plenary Messages

A number of large churches as well as major denominations are making the switch from "sending" to "partnering." Presenters represent U.S. mission agencies, indigenous partners from the Majority World, and mainline church denominations. You will be thrilled how so many are catching the vision of partnering in the 21st century. Check "Plenary Messages" in the side column to learn more. And check out our presenters--both for plenaries and workshops--by checking the "Speakers / Facilitators" item in the side column.

Helpful workshops

Do you know there's an agency that specializes in coaching churches in how to transition into partnering with indigenous ministries? This agency will be hosting one of our workshops. Another will provide a 101 of Partnering Basics. Another will tell you where to get neat stuff cheap. Several will outline strategic principles. We believe we've got the bases covered and have a well-rounded array of workshops for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Check out the workshops by clicking "Workshops" in the side column.

Housing and Meals

As in 2008, participants at this conference will have to choose their own accommodations at nearby hotels. As last year, the conference will end on Wednesday afternoon, so only Monday and Tuesday nights' lodging is required. Lunch and supper will be provided by The Lindner Center as part of the registration fee. Participants will be on their own for breakfast. (Hint: Choose a hotel that provides complimentary breakfast.) A list of area hotels will be provided soon (or just Google).

Complete Schedule Available

A complete schedule is available online, as well as a one-page, two-column printable version. Check "Schedule" in the side column.

Early Bird and Member Discounts

As last year, COSIM this year is offering a generous $20 discount to COSIM members and an additional $20 discount to each person who registers early (by April 30). Click registration form to register.

We think you will find the 2010 COSIM Conference a worthy investment.
